Bridges is now active on 5 campuses, with 4 full-time staff, 20+ student leaders, and many more international students finding a home in our community!

2020-21
began with the recruitment of the first “international” full-time staff, as well as the launch of Bridges at PolyU, amidst a global pandemic.
This year also marked our first ever JointU Core Camp!

Bridges at CUHK launches under the name "Harbour"

2019
the first full-time staff team was formed, with an intern coming from the US to help launch Bridges at CityU

2016-17
saw the first batch of student leaders who were fully/partially international themselves, as well as the start of “Agape” at HKU.

2011-16
saw steady growth, switching between “cell group” and “large fellowship” formats. Student leaders were still mostly locals (or locals with intl backgrounds) who had a heart for internationals.

1983

Bridges International started in the US, initially focused on helping mainland Chinese students who were studying in the US

Bridges in HK started taking shape, when HKUST saw the launch of an international student community (Called "Agape at the time)
